The brief

Vikinvest is an accounting and tax practice in Prague. Nobody chooses an accountant on price. They choose someone they trust, because they’re handing over the figures for their entire business.

So the site isn’t there to sell a service. Its job is to show who’s behind it and to put to rest any worry that something will be glossed over or kept hidden.

The solution

Pricing is an ordinary item in the menu, not a link buried at the foot of the page. Next to it sit the team and the office, because in accounting a named person and a real address count for more than any promise.

Client reviews and the number of companies the practice looks after are on the homepage, so a visitor can form a view before clicking anywhere.

The look

The site is white with a single strong colour, the red from the fox logo. Only the buttons, the active menu item and a few small details are red. Everything else stays light and restrained, because what people look for in an accounting firm is order, not effects.

Headings use a sturdy, slightly rounded sans serif and body text a lighter, more readable one. Right under the opening photo sit the logos of the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisers and the Chamber of Certified Accountants. The photos of the office and the team are real rather than stock, so a client can picture where their paperwork is actually going.

The details

The menu is just home, pricing, team and contact. On the homepage the services are split into cards, each with a short list of what it covers, from VAT to registering employees for social security. A business owner can quickly tell whether the firm handles cases like theirs. Below the cards runs a strip of logos from companies the firm already looks after.

Contact has its own page with a map, opening hours and a form, so anyone who brings their paperwork in person knows where to go and when. Every page ends with the same invitation to an informal chat, whatever the visitor happens to be reading.
